Well I must admit I am not a huge fan of New Years Eve. I am not a big fan of crowds or overpiced prix fixe menus. Kurt and I typically host or attend a small dinner party to avoid the scene. But I realize that most people like have a night out on the town. So I have searched really hard online for you to attempt to find you some affordable things to do on New Years Eve which was a challenge. Below you will find a couple of dining and some entertainment options that are relatively budget friendly and ITP (Inside the Perimeter).Cheers!
ATLANTA NEW YEARS EVE RESTAURANTS ON THE CHEAP (or as cheap as I could find):
Check out Open Table to scout out all the different New Years eve menus and pricing. I only found 3 restaurants in the Buckhead area offering a prix fixe under $50. The links below will take you to the restaurant page on Open Table if you are interested in making a reservation or reading more about the restaurant.
- Steel Restaurant and Lounge an Asian Restaurant located in Midtown offering a $35 per person for a 4 course meal but it is $55 if you want champagne and party favors.
- Waterhaven Restaurant a Contemporary American Cuisine offering a 3 course meal for $35 and even more impressive they are offering HALF PRICE on every bottle of wine on their list!!!
- Pura Vida a Tapas Spanish flair restaurant located in the Virginia Highlands is offering a $35 meal for 3 Tapas and 1 dessert for the 5:30PM and 7:30 seating if you go after 7:30 the price goes up $10.
On Atlanta Dish I found another comprehensive list of Atlanta restaurants and Atlanta New Years Eve specials but only a few made the cut for being on a budget which included:
- Ecco:If plans call for ringing in the New Year with friends in Midtown, head over to European-inspired Ecco. On New Year’s Eve, guests can choose from the full regular menu or a special New Year’s Eve à la carte menu($3-$25). And don’t worry about missing out on the bubbly. “Bubble Boy” will be circulating the restaurant selling champagne tableside. (40 7th Street, NE; 404-347-9555.)
- Marlow’s Tavern has a New Year’s Eve plan that’s good for your economy and stimulates your appetite for good food and fun. The tavern’s $32 per-person, three-course prix fixe menu features some “Lobsters & Libations” selections as well as a complimentary glass of champagne. With six locations — all serving food until midnight — there’s a Marlow\’s location celebration near you. (Midtown at 950 West Peachtree Street, 404-815-0323; Vinings at 2355 Cumberland Parkway, 770-432-2526 check their website for all their other locations)
