Unfortunately for me, my office Dorsey Alston Realtors, is located next door to Whole Foods as many call it Whole Pay Check.  Luckily from the Shop Smarter Class I attended last month I have learned how to cut corners.  I noticed when I was there yesterday that they are have a Tax Day Promotion I thought was worth sharing.  Tomorrow April 15th all of the Whole Foods in Atlanta will be cutting us a break at the check out counter by waiving the Sales Tax.  That may not sound like a huge savings, but it will add up for those who go tomorrow their larger grocery run.

On Thursday, April 15, the company will reward customers who bring a reusable tumbler into participating stores with a complimentary brewed coffee. This effort is just one of the ways Starbucks is collaborating with customers to reduce environmental impacts. The company has offered customers a discount for tumbler use since 1985.

As part of Starbucks™ Shared Planet™ commitment to environmental stewardship, the company’s goal is to ensure 100 percent of its cups are reusable or recyclable by 2015.  This simple shift in behavior kept approximately 1.2 million pounds of paper from ending up in landfills.
