    The Margaret Mitchell House has something new to offer visitors of all ages!  A new and enhanced visitor experience at the historic Margaret Mitchell House, complete with new exhibitions on the life of Margaret Mitchell and Gone With the Wind the movie, debuts over the July 4 weekend.

    Enjoy two days of free, fun-filled, family-friendly activities including tours of Mitchell’s apartment where Gone With the Wind was written, dancing, croquet, games, face painting, homemade ice cream, arts and crafts, living history performances, and Gone With the Wind trivia and prizes.  Kids enjoy a special 1920s dress up area and food and beverage from Mary Mac’s Tea Room are available for purchase.

    Visit the tables at Peachtree Street or Crescent Avenue gates to acquire tickets for a docent-led tour of the apartment where Margaret Mitchell wrote Gone With the Wind, and see the new exhibitions Margaret Mitchell: A Passion for Character, and The Making of a Film Legend: Gone With the Wind.
