Looking for some fun free entertainment tomorrow?  Check out the Arts in the Gardens event at Skyland Trail.   Pefect place to go with the little ones or on your own to pick up a new piece of art. This is an annual event with presentations of visual and performing arts saluting the successful recovery of individuals with mental illness. AITG celebrates mental health month by giving consumers of mental health services the opportunity to display their art in order to educate the general public about mental illness and reduce stigma. Arts in the Garden is open to the public with NO ADMISSION CHARGE.

In keeping with out Earth Day theme of this week, we bring you The Peachtree Road Farmer’s Market.  Hosted in the parking lot of the Cathedral of St. Phillips, the farmers market is an open-air venue where Southeastern small farmers and growers, regoinal producer and purveyors of traditional foods, and local crafts people may market their products face to face with Atlanta-area customers.  It opens at 8:30 and goes until noon every Saturday until Dec 19.  This weekend, April 25, 2009, they have an event called, “Find That Farmer” – Don’t miss this chance to play the monthly market scavenger hunt for a chance to enter a drawing for a delicious prize.  My friend Sally is on their weekly email list and receives updates on events and up coming produce, she highly recommends adding your name to the email list!  Its gonna be a nice weekend, so grab some fresh produce and fix a home-cooked meal for your friends or family!

One of Atlanta’s most green restaurants is none other than Pizza Fusion, located in the Aramore building in Buckhead. The unique pizzeria is entirely green, from the biodegradable food containers to the countertops made out of recycled glass soda bottles and everything in between.
